Reviewer of Year Prize
In recognition of their invaluable service over the preceding year, the editors of JOIE have decided to award a Reviewer of the Year Prize to outstanding reviewers.
The announcement is made during the annual WINIR Conference, at the same time as the announcement of the Elinor Ostrom Prize.
A prize of £500, funded by Millennium Economics Ltd. (the owner of JOIE), was first awarded in 2019. From 2020, an award of £400 is made to two or three outstanding reviewers every year.
2025 Reviewer of the Year Prize
Randall Holcombe (Florida State University, USA), Sinclair Davidson (RMIT University, Australia) and Clara Jean (Grenoble Ecole de Management, France).
2024 Reviewer of the Year Prize
Christopher Coyne (George Mason University, USA), Daniil Frolov (Volgograd State Technical University, Russia) and Fiona Nunan (University of Birmingham, UK).
2023 Reviewer of the Year Prize
Ilya Murtazashvili (University of Pittsburgh, USA), Veeshan Rayamajhee (North Dakota State University, USA) and Rok Spruk (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia).
2022 Reviewer of the Year Prize
Katarzyna Bentkowska (Warsaw School of Economics, Poland), Daniel Cole (Indiana University Bloomington, USA) and Ennio Piano (Middle Tennessee State University, USA)
2021 Reviewer of the Year Prize

2020 Reviewer of the Year Prize
