In 2019 WINIR sponsored an international conference on law and development jointly organised by the São Paolo Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paolo (USP) in Brazil. Legal, economic, and political aspects of the topic were addressed.
In 2016 WINIR sponsored the First Annual Symposium on Neo-Institutional Law & Economics held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. Submissions from law, political science, sociology, and economics scholars on any topic regarding the neo-institutional economic analysis of law were welcome.
WINIR contributed funding to Barbara Allen‘s award-winning documentary about the lives and work of Elinor and Vincent Ostrom. The world premiere took place during WINIR 2017 in Utrecht.
