WINIR CONFERENCE ON PRIVATE AND PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE (ROME, ITALY, JULY 2026) — Governance refers to those rules that clearly bind, define, and enable an organization’s scope of action, authority, and objectives. Much recent institutional research has focused on the governance of private organizations, most notably the business firm. By contrast, the governance of public organizations, such as the state, has received comparatively less attention.
The Eighth WINIR Conference will be held in Catania, the second largest city of the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sicily, off the coast of Southern Italy. Among other things, Catania, which lies at the foot of the volcano Etna facing the Ioanian Sea, is known for its baroque architecture, for which it is part of the Val di Noto UNESCO World Heritage Site.
