WINIR 2017 – Venue

The Fourth WINIR Conference was held in the beautiful city of Utrecht, the capital of the province of the same name in the Netherlands. Utrecht was founded by the Romans roughly in 50 CE, and from the 8th century became the center of Dutch Christianity. In 1024 its bishops were made Princes of the Holy Roman Empire, with the resulting Prince-Bishopric of Utrecht lasting until 1528.

WINIR 2016 – Venue

The Third WINIR Conference was held in the New England city of Boston, Massachusetts, situated on the East Coast of the United States. Founded by Puritan settlers in 1630 Boston was first incorporated as a city in 1822, making it one of America’s oldest cities. Symposium 2016 – Venue

The WINIR Symposium on Property Rights took place in Bristol, one the UK’s most unique cities located in South West England. Situated on the rivers Frome and Avon, Bristol borders the counties of Somerset and Gloucestershire, with the historic cities of Bath and Gloucester to the southeast and northeast, respectively. The city has a short coastline on the Severn Estuary (which flows into the Bristol Channel).
