Five articles have made the shortlist for the 2023 Elinor Ostrom Prize, which will be announced at the WINIR Conference on Institutional Innovation & Evolution in Catania, Italy (20-23 September 2023. The award will be announced at WINIR 2023 in Catania, Italy.
Promoting interdisciplinary dialogue is essential
With a turnout of 32.87%, the WINIR Council election results are in: we are pleased to announce that Massiliano Vatiero, Paolo Silvestri, Nadia von Jabobi, and Daniel Cole will be joining Richard Langlois, David Gindis, Francesca Gagliardi, and Lyndal Keeton in the new WINIR Council, which will be inaugurated on 1 March 2024.
It’s all about bringing diverse people together
We are pleased to report that the WINIR Council election has generated a lot of interest: 12 nominations from candidates spanning 4 continents were received by the due date of 18 January 2024. The ballot will open on 1 February and close on 15 February, with the new Council starting to work on 1 March 2024.
Connecting existing networks, crafting new ones
In 2024 WINIR will sponsor a second international conference of the Forum for Institutional Thought on the theme of “Institutions & Survival”. This event will be held at the University of Bialystok in Bialystok, Poland, with the aim of showcasing the latest developments in institutional economics to an audience of research and teaching staff, PhD students, politicians, activists, and entrepreneurs from Poland and abroad.
A leading multi-disciplinary outlet for institutional research
The winners of the Reviewer of the Year Prize for 2022, awarded by the editors of the Journal of Institutional Economics in recognition of their outstanding service, are Ilia Murtazashvili (University of Pittsburgh, USA), Veeshan Rayamajhee (North Dakota State University, USA) and Rok Spruk (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia).
